Dining

There are 4 restaurants. Rotterdam Dining Room is the main restaurant. It is 2-tiered and decorated in neutral colours with rich gold and red decor and big flower paintings
Food is served on Rosenthal China, and fine crystal is used for wine. The meals are sumptuous and served by attentive waiters. There is enough space between the tables facilitating easy movement and private conversations. A String Quartet plays music here.

Terrace Grill serves North American and European food with a few Indonesian specialities. The menu consists of hamburgers, hot dogs, pastas, and tacos al fresco served all through the day. Lido Restaurant buffet and the poolside grill provide informal dining experience. Breakfast and lunch are served at the dining room or at the Lido. Guests can dine at the Pinnacle Grill Restaurant for a small surcharge. Java Café serves a variety of coffees and refreshments.

The dress code is casual during the day. For evenings it may range from smart casual to semi formal which means jacket for gentlemen and casual elegance for ladies. On formal nights men are required to wear a suit or dinner jacket and ladies a cocktail dress.

Entertainment

Two movie shows are screened 4 times a day at the 249-capacity Wajang Theatre. Sometimes the theatre is used as a lecture hall. Crow’s Nest hosts shows by a DJ or Karaoke, Irish pub night, and 50s and 60s theme nights are hosted.

Hugo De Groot Library offers a variety of books ranging from classics to modern. There is video library for guests who have videos in their rooms. At the casino guests can play blackjack, Caribbean poker, roulette, dice or try their luck on the slot machines.

Explorer`s Lounge has cognacs, speciality coffees, and fresh chocolates, accompanied by The Champagne Strings to offer the guests and it is available from 9 pm to midnight. There are private tables for 2 which can be used day and night. At the Java Lounge espressos and cappuccinos are served.

The 600 seating capacity Rubens Lounge stages live Broadway-style shows including cabarets, classical music recitals and high tech video/back projection shows. On the upper deck the seating arrangement is theatre style and downstairs it is lounge style. The décor comprises of engravings of Rubens` portrait in the glass doorway to the graceful balcony. There is a tri-colour marble and granite dance floor.

Casino Bar serves refreshment and is a good place for relaxation. The Dolphin Bar is the perfect place and relax and to enjoy a cigar. If however you want some entertainment then visit the Piano bar, here can listen to music and the bar does not get to crowded.

The video arcade offers electronic games. Club HAL is the children’s programme for children aged 5-17 years.
