Diamond Princess

Write a Review on this Ship

Overview

Although geared to the American market, Princess’ British connection with P&O means that the ambience is slightly less Americanised than on other lines. There are no butlers in the top suites, unlike on some rival ships.

There is an open-air cinema, Movies under the Stars. There are self-service launderettes, but there is a charge.

Service is good, although passengers are not escorted to cabins on arrival.

Suitability

The ship’s flexible dining and entertainment options mean it’s a great product for those who hate the regimented cruise experience of other ships. Good family facilities too.

This ship is one of the few options for people who want to get married at sea.

Hints & Tips

Tips are automatically added to your on-board account and can be removed upon request.

Weddings at sea can be filmed by web cam so family and friends can watch at home.
There is an extra charge for ice cream and other snacks outside of the main restaurants.
