The ship has a laid-back atmosphere, with lots of options. There is a wide choice of places to eat, including tapas, TexMex and Cagney’s Steakhouse.
Experienced cruisers who hate having the leave the ship early on departure day may prefer this option as disembarkation is not so rushed. Service is very good, with a high staff-to-passenger ratio.
SuitabilityA good-value product, with options for families, couples, repeat passengers and first-timers, who do not like the idea of a regimented cruise. As with other ships in the fleet, there are a lot of Americans on board.
All NCL ships offer Freestyle cruising to various degrees, but Norwegian Star is one of the ships that has the greatest choice of all. Hints & TipsGratuities are added as standard to your on-board account – these can be removed upon request.
There is a cover charge to enter some restaurants.
