Although there are lots of American passengers, the British connection with P&O means that the ambience is slightly less Americanised than on other lines. There are no butlers in the top suites, unlike on some rival ships.
There is an open-air cinema, Movies under the Stars. Service is generally good, although passengers are no longer escorted to cabins on arrival.
SuitabilitySister company to P&O Cruises, Princess has a less British, more international feel about it. There are lots of American passengers, although the ship now operates Baltic/Scandinavia cruises, so there will be a higher than average number of Brits on board.
Good choice for couples – including those who want to renew their wedding vows – and families.
Also popular for young couples, or second-timers, who want to get married at sea. Hints & TipsTips are automatically added to your on-board account and can be removed upon request.
Weddings at sea can be filmed by web cam so family and friends can watch at home.
There is an extra charge for ice cream and other snacks outside of the main restaurants.
