1 out of 5 StarsHoneymoon - A Disaster, July 2006
Reviewer: Robert Gill from Jersey. C.I
Service was poor, except in one bar. Wine that was pre-ordered did not arrive until after the starters. Often main course would arrive before starters finished. Food was poor and synthetic (everything was UHT), soft drinks were heavily chlorinated. No air-con in restaurant, which with 600 people and low ceilings was very, very hot.

Whole ship had a bad vibration on all floors. Moulds growing in the bathroom, extractor fan, cushions on balcony chairs were removed and not replaced, ongoing work on ship and private balconies disrupted stay. Could only have a twin bed that if pushed together meant we couldn't get out of the balcony. More like a train than a boat as my bed was a pull down. Not want you want for x thousands of pounds spent.

Had to be on table of 4 even though we were on Honeymoon. We had dinner in one of the other dining rooms for 2 nights and got accosted by the waiter and questioned about why we had not been for dinner in the main restaurant.

Staff seemed too worried about their tips than service.

Generally avoid this ship. It is more expensive than some other cruises, with the same company; maybe it means the cheaper the better.

Service poor, waiting long time to get served in the bars. Main dining room meals rushed and food mediocre. Reminded me of the service you get on a car ferry. Not a good advert for P&O.
