It’s very British – understated and sophisticated, although some passengers have said the ship’s layout is confusing and it takes a long time to walk from one end of the ship to the other.
An excellent Palladium Theatre, over three levels, and two paid-for restaurants. One of the largest fitness and spa areas at sea.
Service is prompt and unobtrusive service, although there have been mixed reports about service in the paid-for Arcadian Rhodes restaurant.SuitabilityAdult only, this ship does not cater for the family market.
Active first-timers, of a generally younger age than the average cruiser will love this ship, however regular P&O cruisers have said they prefer other ships in the fleet. They miss the glitz and glamour of other ships, in particular the absence of large, open spaces.
Passengers who prefer self-service to formal dining will love the layout of the Belvedere self-service restaurant, which means much less queuing than in restaurants on other ships.Hints & TipsOne passenger who booked a suite said a mini-suite would have been adequate.
There is wireless access in the cyber rooms, but not in cabins.
There is a free launderette, with iron/ironing boards supplied.
There is a charge for room service.
Take advantage of the views from the glass lifts, especially in the port at night.
