It is a nice alternative to the mass-market cruise lines that sail in the same regions (Caribbean in the winter and Mediterranean in the summer). The staff, called G.O.s, are lively and enthusiastic. There is free wine and beer at meal times. The ship carries 400 passengers.SuitabilityLike other sailing ships, Club Med 2 has an air of romance about it – hence it attracts honeymooners, mainly from France. But it is also suitable for youthful single people and couples.
Brits who don’t speak French can have difficulty making friends on board, and may prefer to try another cruise line.Hints & TipsWine and beer is free at meal times, but not at other times.
There is a water sports platform at the back of the ship.
When you book a cruise on Club Med 2, you have to pay a one-off charge to join Club Med.
There is 24-hour room service, which is paid for.
Tips are included.
