All cabins have sea views and the atmosphere on board is relaxed, with open seating dining, although people looking for a more luxurious experience should opt for Hapag-Lloyd’s Hanseatic. The waiters speak German and English and the service is good.
A nice touch is that fact that the ship’s chart (which plots the vessel’s itinerary) is auctioned off at the end of each cruise for charity.SuitabilityThis ship attracts well-travelled people who are looking for an intimate, relaxed experience at a good price.
Most of the passengers are German, although other European nationalities are also on board. There is little in the way of evening entertainment, so you have to be prepared to amuse yourself.Hints & TipsThe ship has an open-bridge policy.
Bring your own books as most of the ones in the library are in German.
Tours, tips and soft drinks are included in the price of the cruise.
