Public Areas

There are 9 passenger decks with average deck space. The Sports Deck houses the Crow`s Nest, practice tennis court, basketball court, Club HAL, video arcade and The Loft.
On the Lido Deck, there is an Ocean Spa, Observation Deck, gymnasium, Lido Restaurant, Lido Terrace, Lido Pool, whirlpools, paddling pool, Terrace Grill, beauty salon and Dolphin Bar. Neptune Lounge and swimming pool are located on the Navigation Deck.

The Upper Promenade Deck comprises the Rotterdam Dining Room, Queen`s Room, Rubens Balcony, Pinnacle Grill, Explorer`s Lounge, casino, Casino Bar, Piano Bar, card room, Ocean Bar, Hugo De Groot Library, Puzzle Corner, gourmet shop, atrium, Figurehead Gallery and shopping arcade.

The Promenade Deck contains the Rotterdam Dining Room extending to the Upper Promenade Deck, Rubens Lounge, Wajang Theatre, Hudson Room, Half Moon Room, Java Café, internet café, atrium, photo gallery and the main gallery.
For leisure activities there is an inside and outside swimming pool inclusive of children pool, casino, bars, beauty salon, spa, library, internet café, Wajang Theatre, 2 Jacuzzis, tennis court and video arcade.

Sports facilities include basketball court, shuffleboard, an equipped gym in addition to aerobics classes and a jogging track. Ocean Spa features spa services of Steiner of London such as herb treatments and aromatic massage. Separate saunas are available for men and women. Ocean Spa Gymnasium contains a treadmill with the passenger’s name on it. There is a personal trainer available on-board.

For children there is a paddling pool and club HAL.

Cabins

Veendam has 633 cabins graded from Penthouse Veranda Suite (PS) measuring 108 sq metres to Inside Stateroom (S) measuring 17 sq metres. There are 352 ocean view cabins and 149 cabins with balcony.

The cabins are spacious, with convertible twin beds to queen size bed, separate living area with sofa and table, music system, telephone, TV and hairdryer. Although there is limited hanging/wardrobe area there is a large storage space.

Outside cabins have a bath and shower while the inside cabins have a shower only.
Penthouse Veranda Suite has a bedroom with 1 king-size bed, living room, dining room, huge whirlpool bath & shower, dressing room, pantry, personal veranda, 1 sofa bed for 2 persons, fridge, minibar, guest toilet and floor-to-ceiling windows.

There are 6 cabins for the disabled.
