Obstructed view, January 13, 2006 Reviewer: Donald Adams from Ontario, Canada We travelled from Miami to Los Angeles via the Panama Canal. There was absolutely no outisde view to the front of this ship because the owners had erected canvas cabanas across the entire front of the upper public deck which they rented by the day. Only view to the front was from the Horizons cocktail lounge. Passing through the canal this room was overcrowded .
Other than stating that my concerns would be addressed in a timely manner, it is 3 weeks now with no reply from Oceania. Advertising for this particular trip shows the Regatta passing through the Panama Canal without the cabanas. I would not have purchased a passage on this ship if I had been aware that I would have to rent a cabana if I wanted to look forard.
