Overview

Celebrity broke new ground in 2004 when it became the first major cruiseline to operate in the Galapagos. This is a small ship, with little in the way of entertainment, but the attraction is that it is able to get in close to the islands.

Unlike other Celebrity ships, the staff are mainly Ecuadorian. Generally, service is good, with attention to detail you would expect from Celebrity.

Suitability

Unlikely to appeal to mass-market cruisers, or those for whom the destination isn’t important. This cruise experience is all about the destination – it offers seven-day cruises around the Galapagos Islands.
There are choices of daily excursions, set at levels to suit everyone, from the super-fit to the casual stroller. The overall price includes tips, shore excursions and most drinks.
