Dining

There are 4 restaurants on Ocean Village, two are buffet style: the Plantation Restaurant which works around the clock and offers rich Asian and Oriental cuisine, and the Waterfront Café, open at set hours (except for port days, when it’s usually closed) providing continental and English breakfast, lunch and dinner. La Luna is an open-air deck café during the day, but in the evening it transforms into a poolside dining place under the stars. The Bistro, open evenings only, offers British and Mediterranean flavours endorsed by the celebrity TV chef James Martin, who regularly travels aboard. Both La Luna and the Bistro have waiter service, extra charge for dining applies.

‘Comfort’ and ‘informality’, that’s the Ocean Village’s motto, so there are no formal evenings, dress codes, designated tables, or set meal times.

Special children’s tea is available for kids each day to allow parents to dine on their own. Another venue popular with kids’ is the Sunweaver, offering a good selection of ice creams, cold drinks and coffees.

There is no cabin service but at an extra charge, special treats can be delivered to your door: from a bottle of champagne to breakfast in bed, flowers and strawberries.

Entertainment

Varied, unusual, free flowing entertainment is the call of the day on this ship. Circus performers not only show off their acrobatic acts around the pool at day and night time (the Moon Show is especially spectacular), but also share their secrets with guests who wish to learn juggling, or balancing in circus style workshops.

The Marquee Bar features cabaret, stand-up comedy, game shows and live bands. The Bayside Bar and nightclub offers occasional live TV sport’s coverage, and dancing through the night. The Blue Bar, looking over the three-deck atrium on one side and the ocean on the other, has contemporary feel while Charlie’s bar is also an Internet café. For those wishing to try their luck, a stylish casino with blackjack and roulette. The recent film releases are shown in the Movie Drome cinema.

For children there are separate clubs for various age groups and activities are arranged throughout the day in the Base Camp and the Hideout. All club rooms are very well equipped with arts and crafts materials, play stations, karaoke and dance mats. There is table tennis on decks, a netted area for football and basket ball enthusiasts, as well as pool games and competitions.

For parents with younger children, there is a supervised night nursery open each evening.
