The food and service is just as good in the ship’s two alternative main dining rooms, the Donatello and Bernini, where diners can sit where they like and eat at any time they feel like. For something a bit special, there are two options: Sabatini’s Italian restaurant and the Sterling Steakhouse. Both require reservations and a cover charge applies.
Passengers in balcony accommodation have another option – they can choose to have food served on their balcony (an extra charge applies).
Casual dining options include the 24-hour Horizon Court, Prego Pizzeria, the Trident Grill (serving burgers and hot dogs) and 24-hour room service
EntertainmentAs well as Broadway style shows in the main theatre, there are plenty of other options for evening entertainment, including one of the largest casinos afloat, and several smaller lounges.
The Skywalkers nightclub and observation lounge is suspended 150 feet above the water. Art auctions are an integral part of a Princess Cruise.
Passengers who want to do more than simply lie by the pool can sign up to the cruise line’s ScholarShip@Sea learning programme, which includes photography and cookery classes. There is a 24-hour Internet service, including wireless access and a library/writing room. There is a good kids’ entertainment programme.
Princess Cruises’ ships also operate the popular Movies Under The Stars, where passengers can watch blockbusters in an open-air cinema, out on deck.
