It has smaller cabins than the newer ships in the fleet, but there is still plenty to do, such as rock climbing and other sports.
One of the line’s Sovereign-class ships, this ship is almost identical to sister ships Majesty of the Seas and Sovereign of the Seas.
Service is friendly rather than sophisticated and has a tendency to be rushed in the main restaurant.
SuitabilityAn excellent choice for couples, singles, first-timers and experienced cruisers, as there is so much to do on board. Good value for money.
While all Royal Caribbean ships are family-orientated, passengers with younger children may prefer to book with one of the line’s newer, larger ships.
American in style, passengers who want a more British experience may prefer to travel on P&O.
Some passengers will not be happy with what some see as a constant on-board hard sell, and there are lots of announcements, which can be annoying. Hints & TipsText-mad cruisers will be pleased to know that mobile phones can be used at sea.
Pre-paid drinks packages for adults and soda packages for kids are available.
Online check-in is available, to help smooth embarkation.
