Overview

One of the line’s Sovereign-class ships, it has smaller cabins and fewer facilities than newer, bigger ships in the fleet, but there is still plenty to do, such as rock climbing and a golf-tuition programme.

Service is friendly, although at dinner it can be a bit fast and furious, which some people may find annoying.

Suitability

Popular among couples, singles, first-timers and experienced cruisers, as there is so much to do on board. Good value for money.

While all Royal Caribbean ships are family-orientated, passengers with younger children may prefer to book with one of the line’s newer, larger ships.

The vast majority of passengers are from the US, so passengers who want a more British experience may prefer to travel on P&O.

Constant up-selling and lots of on-board announcements can by annoying

Hints & Tips

Text-mad cruisers will be pleased to know that mobile phones can be used at sea.

Pre-paid drinks packages for adults and soda packages for kids are available.

There are no tables for two in the main dining rooms.

Online check-in is available, to help cut down on lengthy embarkation queues.
