Overview

Thomson has always been known for its good value, family oriented holidays. In a departure from the norm, Calypso, its new ship, will be adult-only.

Previously owned by Louis Cruise Line the Calypso is due to be launched in summer 2007, the onboard atmosphere will be more 'grown up', with live bands and guest lectures on the itinerary.

Like all Thomson ships, there will be a gala night once a week, consisting of a Captain's cocktail party and gala dinner.

Suitability

By its very nature, this adult-only product will suit people who want to enjoy a cruise away from noisy kids.

A good option for first-timers who want a good -value package holiday cruise experience and who want to sail with fellow Brits rather than Europeans or Americans.
