Public Areas

There are 8 passenger decks with limited space.

There is a Sky Deck on-board. Sun Deck features the beauty salon, Lido Bar, Yacht Club and pool. Bridge Deck accommodates the gym, health centre and observation area. Promenade Deck contains the card room and internet centre.

Riviera Deck houses the Carousel Lounge, Monte Carlo Casino, Discovery Lounge, Explorer Bar, library, Night Club, Palm Court, photo gallery, Discovery Theatre, pool, games room and Waves Bar.

The shops and twin bedded cabins are situated on the Pacific Deck. Bali Deck contains the staterooms.

Seven Continents Restaurant and medical centre are available on Coral Deck.

There are 2 pools on-board called the Deck Pool and Crystal Pool. The Sun Deck has an outdoor pool and sun loungers. Crystal Pool perched on top of the ship, has a sliding glass roof.

Leisure facilities include 5 bars, 3 lounges, card room, library, internet centre, lecture theatre and cinema.

For recreational activities there is a gym, 2 open-air Jacuzzis. Spa/health services comprises of separate ladies and gents sauna and juice bar. The Spa Atlantis Gym has various exercise equipment.

At the beauty salon passengers can treat themselves to a manicure, pedicure or visit the hairdresser. Though kids can travel on the Discovery, facilities for them are very few.

Cabins

Discovery has 350 cabins graded from Premier cabins (A) to single cabins (O). There are 280 ocean view cabins and none of the cabins have a balcony. The size of high-end and low-end cabins is 40 sq metres and 13 sq metres respectively.

The lifeboats obstruct the view from the Owner’s Suite.

Every cabin has ample space for storage. Some cabins have personal amenities such as baths and showers on Bridge and Promenade decks while others have only showers. In some cabins there are 2 lower beds or a double bed and a few cabins have 3rd and 4th berths, TVs, hairdryers and safe. In addition to this suites have a wardrobe.

The cruisers on Premier cabins receive bathrobes, fruits and champagne when they arrive on-board. Double cabins are provided with sofa beds. Outside cabins situated on Bridge and Promenade Decks contain picture windows and cabins located on Pacific Deck have 2 small windows. All others have 2 portholes.

There are 2 wheelchair cabins for the disabled passenger..
