Travel Agent In Swansea, Ship Visit March 2006 Reviewer: Christopher Evans from Swansea, South Wales I am a travel agent and recently attended a ship visit of the Boudicca. The ship was alot more compact than i was expecting and did have an intimate feel. but despite its recent refit it did show its age!
This cruise will suit mainly older clientle who like a homely intimate atmosphere! I also felt that it lacked the facilities of some of its rivals, P&O, Princess, Royal Caribbean. The cabins were spacious and the suites extremly well furnished with plasma screen televisions. The restaurants were well furinished and having 3 on such a small ship did create a very nice intimate atmosphere.
With some nice itineraries this ship can work for Fred Olsen but I would say the average age of clientle would be slightly older than some of the other traditional liners! In a word if you have travelled and enjoyed a cruise with say Royal Caribbean this is not the crusie for you! but if you were intimidated by the size and casual feel of there ships this could be ideal
