Cruise Reviews :: Write a Review on this Ship

5 out of 5 StarsOut Of This World!!, April 2006
Reviewer: Christopher Evans from Thomson Retail - Swansea
I attended the travel agents launch party in April 2006.

From the moment i arrived in port i was speechless! The sheer sise of the ship is immediately evident. I was impressed from the first moment I boarded the ship. We were efficiently checked in and issued with our cabin card, then taken to one of the many bars and served with a welcome drink (pink champagne).

The ships layout is incredibly well planned throughout and it is extremely easy to get about on what is a huge vessel! I was completely bowled over by every aspect of the ship. The food was first class and the dining options terrific! There is something to suit everybody! I chose to dine in the main restaurant, which was a-la-carte. All courses were waiter service and the choice was excellent! It was a pleasure to experience true a-la-carte cuisine! If this is not to your taste however, you could just as easily grab a burger from Johnny Rockets - A themed american diner! Alternatively you could grab a slice of pizza from one of the other restaurants! The ship is more than capable of catering to every pallet!

Where the ship really comes into its own is with its facilities! It has everything you could dream of, from an adult only solarium to a mini waterpark! The flow rider surf simulator (which i wans't brave enough to experience) to the jacuzzi suspended from the side of the top deck! (perfect for gazing out into the ocean).

Entertainment-wise the ship was also first class! The superb ice show is a must-see, held at the ice skating rink, some of the performances are totally awesome! In terms of bars there is also something to suit everyone's taste, whether you'd prefer a sing along in the karaoke bar, a quiet pint in a traditional olde english pub, or even sip some fine wines in the champagne bar! It trully has every avenue covered!

I stayed in a promenade view cabin which was extremely spacious and modern, with everything from a state of the art plasma screen television to wireless ineternet access!

Overall I would recomend a cruise on this ship to absolutely everyone! Its perfect for familes with younger children and equally for families with teenagers (who can dance the night away in the 'Crypt' nightclub. Its also ideal for couples - even though the ship holds around 3000 guests, the sheer size means it is easy to find a quiet place to relax. I would also recommend the ship to single travellers, with the many bars providing a perfect chance to make new friends. Overall a truly exceptional experience! Since returing I have sent many clients onboard the ship and every single one really enjoyed the experience!

I couldn't believe the service, the whole holiday was out of this world. Great for couples and families alike!

5 out of 5 StarsA world of choice on this ship, April 2006
Reviewer: Helen Padget-Smith from Beverley, uk
I visited this ship on its launch weekend and was taken aback by the facilities and the quality of the ship. Everyone was impressed, it was absolutely breathtaking to behold when it was docked at Southampton due to the size of it.

Everything you could want was available from the wave machine where you can body board, to the basketball courts, the huge choice of swimming pools for both adults and children or if your still feeling energetic the gym had everything you could want. The treadmills look out over the sea and it has its own boxing ring in the centre. This amazed me! So after doing all this you can relax and unwind in the spa with its wide choice of treatments to enjoy.

T night you've still got as much choice from a relaxing drink in the champagne bar before your 5 course a la carte meal, to a cocktail while enjoying live music. After this there are 2 disco's to enjoy, one of which is open air or the other one inside is called the 'Crypt' were you can have DJ lessons. Great entertainment!!!

Plus with the shopping street you'll never miss home. This ship basically has everything, you could never be bored. I’d recommend an inside promenade view as then you can watch the world go by.
