The overview describes things very well. I was surprised there were so many Americans. Yes, I did hear some Americans complain it wasn't all in English. Maybe they didn't know that most of the passengers were not from Ohio.
I was quite surprised to see so many Chinese people on the ship from Hong Kong & the mainland. My wife & I enjoyed meeting some interesting people from Asia & Europe along with some mellow native English speakers from the USA & UK.
Our room was very comfortable with an outside large window on the lowest deck. If you have Dhonna as your stewardess her smile will start off your whole day! The staff on the ship are very hard-working, pleasant people from South America, India, Ukraine, Phillipines and other places. They all spoke English to us.
Of course it's not easy to feed such a large crowd. Don't expect the best meals you've ever had.
If you like easy-listening euro-pop, you'll love the bars.
I think we'll try one of their smaller ships next time.
Overall, we enjoyed our vacation with Costa Concordia. I could nit-pick a lot of things but for the price, I was satisfied. I just wish I was paid in euros. The bar bill can get a bit high.
