The ship has four pools, 13 bars and even its own Grand Prix simulator. 500 cabins have balconies and the best cabins are on a private floor with direct access to the spa.
Costa is an Italian cruiseline and most of its passengers are from the home market. However, its excellent attention to detail, fine dining and additional touches mean it is very popular among British passengers who want to travel on a big ship, yet be pampered.
Costa is also looking at getting in on the lucrative meetings and incentives market, with a dedicated area, the Prague Lounge, equipped for business meetings.SuitabilityVery good kids’ facilities, with dedicated Mini, Maxi and Teen clubs. Most of the other kids will be Italian and there will be some language issues, which is great if you want your children to have a multi-cultural experience. Many parents though, and other passengers for that matter, may prefer to book a cruise that caters purely for the English-speaking market.Hints & TipsCosta Cruises is now offering cruise-only packages, for customers who want to book with a low-cost carrier and perhaps tag on a couple of days at the end or the beginning of the cruise.
For something extra-special, book a cabin on the Samsara deck. This area has its own private access to the Samsara Spa, and some treatments are included in the booking price.
