Dinner is served in the traditional two sittings – at 18.15 and 20.30 – with tables allocated for the duration of the cruise. Passengers should request their preferred dining time when booking their cruise.
They can also help themselves to breakfast and lunch in the Lido self-service restaurant on deck nine.
For a more intimate experience, Todd English on deck two serves Mediterranean-inspired cuisine for a reasonable per person supplement – the price differs between lunch and dinner. The restaurant seats just 100 people and tables must be booked in advance.
Passengers staying in suites or penthouses can dine in the Queens Grill, while those who have booked a Princess suite are entitled to use the Princess Grill. Both restaurants are on deck 11; passengers can dine when they want within opening hours.
EntertainmentBy day, there will be lectures by experts in fields as diverse as politics, history and science, as well as talks on health and fitness in the spa.
The top evening entertainment will be in the Royal Theatre, with two production shows per cruise, when passengers will have to pay a reasonable per person supplement to have a box. For their money, passengers get a personal escort from dinner to the theatre, and a bottle of bubbly and chocolates waiting in the box. On all other evenings boxes are free and available to all on a first-come, first-served basis.
A live band will be playing every night in the Queens Room, which doubles as the ballroom and afternoon tea venue, and in Hemispheres, the nightclub. In the Commodore Club a pianist tinkles the night away.
