Public Areas

The ship has 12 public decks, the top two of which are segments of deck rather than running the full length of the ship. Deck 16 has a tennis court at one end and a sun deck at the other, deck 15 has mini golf at one end and cabins at the other.

Deck 14 houses the kids’ club, an outdoor pool for very young children, the R32 disco (named after the ship’s yard number) and a handful of cabins.

There are two pools on deck 13, with a bar between them at the forward end of the outside deck. The Body and Mind Thai-styled spa is at the front of the ship, the Piazzetta self-service at the back.

Decks 12 to eight are cabins.

The top level of the three-tier theatre is on deck seven. Also on deck seven are the casino, art gallery, a Chinese Restaurant, library, the internet café, a cigar room and Mediterranean-themed La Cantinelle wine bar. The large Shaker lounge is at the very aft end of the deck.

Deck six houses the daring, leopard-themed Savannah Bar, the Purple Bar and the Amber Bar, which have been cleverly woven into the shopping arcade, and L’Ibiscus Restaurant.

The Villa Borghese Restaurant is on deck five, directly below L’Ibiscus, and opens out to L’Incontro Bar and reception area. The front half of deck five houses cabins and the medical centre.

Cabins

There are 1,275 cabins, ranging from inside rooms to suites. There are 1,000 outside cabins, of which 809 have balconies and 18 are suites.

Several cabins have a third or fourth bed, or are interconnecting. There are three balcony staterooms, two outside cabins and 12 inside rooms for disabled guests.

Inside cabins measure 150 square feet, outside cabins are 183 square feet, while balcony cabins range in size from 164 square feet to 191 square feet. Suites are 269 square feet.

Disabled cabins measure from 226 square feet (inside) to 301 square feet (balcony).

All cabins have flat-screen TVs, mini bars, safes and 24-hour room service. Continental breakfast is served for free; otherwise there is a small charge.
