Although 10 years old now, this ship has been extensively refurbished, but a few areas of the ship, such as the carpets and soft furnishings in cabins show her age.
There are fewer cabins with balconies than on some of the newer, bigger ships in the fleet, but it does have a mini-golf course.
The ship will be based in Rome for 2007 itineraries.
SuitabilityA popular choice among UK passengers, as the ship has been based out of the UK. However, from 2007, she will be based in Rome. Ex-UK sailings will be carried out instead by Navigator of the Seas.
Some of the entertainment is less Americanised, the menus are tailored towards European tastes.
An excellent choice for couples, singles, families, first-timers and experienced cruisers – even traditional P&O passengers, many of whom love the ship. Good value for money.
However, facilities for younger children are much better on one of the bigger, newer Royal Caribbean ships. Hints & TipsText-mad cruisers will be pleased to know that mobile phones can be used at sea.
As on many big ships, the excursions sell out quickly.
Pre-paid drinks packages for adults and soda packages for kids are available.
Online check in is now available.
