Staff are friendly and keen to please, however, regular passengers have said the service is not as good as it was. However, this is being addressed with the recent introduction of HAL’s Signature of Excellence programme, which promises a greater attention to service.SuitabilityThe ship suits older passengers, mainly Americans. For older women travelling alone, there are the traditional gentlemen host dance partners on board. Not recommended for families.
Recent developments have included more flexible dining options, making the cruise less regimented.Hints & Tips15% gratuity is automatically charged to drinks bills.

Reservations are necessary for the alternative dining area, the Pinnacle Grill, and there is a cover charge to enter.
Free popcorn in the cinema.
