    
Write a Review on this Ship OverviewPart of the P&O group, Ocean Village is aimed at the younger market (30-55 years of age), particularly first-timers who don’t fancy the ‘traditional’ image of cruising. (The company’s slogan is: ‘For people who don’t do cruises’).
It’s laid-back and a bit more stylish than others in its range, but it doesn’t have some of those extra touches that other cruise lines offer, such as an evening turndown service or room-service menu.
Service is adequate for a product of this type and price, however, there is no-one to show you to your cabin.SuitabilityA good family option with an excellent kids’ club. Although the brochure portrays active, fit and healthy passengers doing yoga, abseiling and mountain biking, don’t be put off – these options are available, but most people who cruise with Ocean Village aren’t super-fit Marathon runners, and few choose to take up these options.
An ideal choice for people who don’t want to take part in the traditional formalities of cruising. For example, there is no captain’s cocktail party and, unlike other cruise ships, there isn’t a photographer popping up every five minutes.Hints & TipsA good option if you are happy to eat buffet-style each night.
Ocean Village also has a pay-to-enter, service restaurant, endorsed by celebrity chef James Martin.
A charge is made for some workout classes, such as yoga and Pilates.
