Public Areas

The ship has nine passenger decks.

Highlights include the double-deck Carmen dining room, located on decks four and five and there is a seven-storey atrium called Centrum, full of bars, lounges and unique shops.

Facilities also include a children-only area called Adventure Ocean; a rock-climbing wall, basketball and volleyball courts,

In the Shipshape Spa, a rejuvenation zone offers exotic treatment options ranging from Elemis Aroma Stone therapy to Frangipani hair and scalp conditioning.

There is a spa area exclusively for children and teenagers.

The ship has an outdoor pool, a paddling pool, whirlpools, and a pool bar on the Sun deck.

Cabins

Empress of the Seas has 794 cabins, ranging from the 11-sq metre interior cabins to the 55-sq metre Royal suite.

Just over 400 have an ocean view and 69 have a balcony.

All cabins have standard amenities including a queen-size bed (which can be converted into two twins) radio, TV, telephone, bath/ shower, vanity unit, hairdryer, walk-in wardrobe and refrigerator.

The balcony cabins have a vanity unit, chair, sofa and coffee-making facilities.

The Royal suite is the most luxurious suite on the ship and has separate bedrooms, whirlpool bathtub, a balcony and a separate living area complete with a baby grand piano.

There are four wheelchair cabins for disabled cruisers.
