The clientele is multi-cultural, although most passengers are German. The food has been described as excellent – with different theme nights, such as British and French. There are few facilities. The staff do the entertaining, with the passengers joining in. There are occasional “movies under the stars” up on deck.
Friendly staff provide great service, although none have English as the mother tongue and there have been criticism that German-speakers get the best service, purely because of the languageSuitabilityAttracts adventurous couples who are more interested in the destinations than the on-board cruise experience and who are happy to share an intimate experience with passengers from other countries.
Weather conditions in the Indian Ocean can be choppy, so older passengers may find it difficult to disembark/embark tenders.Hints & TipsIf you call at Mayotte, you will need Euros (some passengers suggest 200 Euros). It’s possible to change them on the ship, but for a much better rate, it’s better to bring them with you.
Make the most of the ship’s open Bridge policy, meaning you can visit the captain and staff at any time.
