    
Write a Review on this Ship OverviewThere is a more spacious feel on this ship, as it carries fewer passengers than some others of a similar size. Almost identical to Ryndam, Maasdam and Veendam, offering the same, traditional cruise experience that is aimed at the American market. Nicely decorated with interesting artwork and fresh flowers.
Regular passengers have said service is not as good as it once was, however the staff are friendly and eager to please.SuitabilityContinuing Holland America’s traditional cruise style, the ship suits older passengers who nevertheless want a more relaxed, less regimented cruise.
For older women travelling alone, there are the traditional gentlemen host dance partners on board. Not recommended for families.
A good option for cruising in Alaska as it has a retractable roof.Hints & Tips15% gratuity is automatically charged to drinks bills.
Tips are at the discretion of passengers and not added automatically.
Reservations are necessary for the alternative dining area, the Pinnacle Grill, and there is a cover charge to enter.
Free popcorn in the cinema.
Coffee, ice cream and bar snacks are free.
There is a charge to use the launderette.
